It needs no introduction.

Learning a Foreign Language

April 27th, 2009

I’ve been on vacation.

But now I’m back.

Learning a Foreign Language is difficult. That’s why I’ve never done it. But with instructional videos like this – I may reconsider.

I thought watching girls workout was fun… But when you add them psuedo-rapping about diahreea – well that’s just mother-loving magical.

PSP – Zero Cho Aniki

March 19th, 2009

I love this game.  It’s wacky in ways the US games can never – ever – hope to achieve.  This game has actually been made before – for the PC Engine.  And it appears to have found a new life on PSP… What I wouldn’t give for a Cho Aniki T-shirt. I tried to find them once – no luck. This makes me want to try again.

Game Ideas I have seen – Part ONE

February 13th, 2009

Today I saw yet another game proposal from Japan.  Actually it was more of a finished game in search of a publisher.  Either way – let me lay down what it’s about & you tell me if you want to pick it up.

It involved the user playing as a monkey – throwing poop at walking lizard men (think Geico lizard), flying snakes & beetles.  Other characters the user can play with include a conquistador girl, a Jane girl (as in Tarzan & Jane) & a nurse (naturally).

All those other characters don’t matter – because the monkey throws poop!  Maybe you’re wondering where the Monkey finds this poop – well from his butt.  There’s an animation of the monkey reaching back & pooping into his hand and then throwing it.

My thoughts?  This could be HUGE – HUGE – in America.  First off – EVERYONE in the world loves scatalogical humor.  It transcends race, sex, location, religion etc.  Second – there’s a whole group of guys out there who really get off on playing wacky Japanese games – regardless of how insanely craptacular (I’m leaving that pun in there) they are.

Unfortunately though – we’re in a business – the business of making money.  And this game will most likely never see the light of day because people will not buy it.

Also – the game has destructible environments…  Probably not enough of a gimmick to save it though.
