Fairchild Channel F

I am about 120 pages into The Ultimate History of Video Games – and I’ve learned a lot. I’ve also come across a number of consoles that I had never heard of before.  Mostly because they came out years before I was born.  Obviously I know the NES was not the first – it just happens to be the one I grew up with.

The system that intrigued me the most is called the Fairchild Channel F.  It is the first system to utilize the cartridge.  Up to that point companies like Atari released systems that could play ONE game.  So this was – dare I say – a game changer?!!?!*
